Intermittent fasting for losing body fat and good gut health, a Healthy Lifestyle

Intermittent fasting is not a diet it is a way of life, the type of food you eat does matter.

If I were to ask you … “if there was something you could do that every great and spiritual leader throughout history has done, was no-cost, and would have a significant impact on you overall health and vitality… would you do it?”

Before we get into the history of intermittent fasting you need to understand why does intermittent fasting work so well. there are two types of hormones affected by intermittent fasting, a growth hormone that helps to lose weight and add muscle mass, and then you have insulin that will add fat to your middle or in places you do not want it. People will go on these low carb high protein diets to lesson insulin spike, what they do not realize that all foods produce insulin.

Fasting has been practiced by all our ancestors unintentionally due to lack of available food at times. It has also been practiced consciously by many of the most intelligent and spiritually advanced people around the world, like Jesus and his disciples and followers for example. The only challenge is that we have to break free from the societal programming that tells us we need to have three meals day plus snacks in between, most of you have been brain washed into thinking you will starve if you skip a meal.

When my wife and I competed in our younger days on stage body building it was not uncommon for me to be eating 3 to 4000 calories per day, 6+ meals per day and eating 220+ grams of animal protein per day, little did I know I was setting up my body for some type of degenerative disease like cancer, see cancer does not happen overnight is happens over time, it happened to me at 61 years old, my wife destroyed her hormones it took many years and eating a whole food plant base diet and a holistic hormone doctor to get her healthy again.

I have now controlled my cancer, we have been doing Intermitting fasting for the last 4 years eating a whole food diet, 95% raw fermented foods for good gut health, drinking hydrogen rich water, watch this short video link on why I had to change my water , and we exercised 5 days a week, as you can see my after picture at 65 years old I have controlled my body fat eating around 1500-1800 calories per day, 95% vegetable protein around 80 grams per day, drinking 1.5 gal of hydrogen rich water per day the water has therapeutic effect on the body.

Historical Mentions of Fasting

The Greek historian (425-484 BC) believed the Egyptians to be much healthier than the Greeks due to their regular fasting practices. He was quoted as saying that “The Egyptians are the healthiest of men, since each month for 3 days they fasted and did enemas.

Hippocrates, the father of modern Medicine, once said, “The addition of foods should be much rare, since it is often useful to completely take it away while the patient can withstand it, until the force of the disease reaches its maturity. The man carries within him a doctor; you just have to help him do his work. If the body is not cleared, then the more you feed it, the more it will be harmed. When a patient is fed too richly, the disease is fed as well.

The Greek philosopher Plato said, “I fast for greater mental and physical efficiency.”

What are some of the benefits of intermittent fasting?

Fasting allows Energy conservation and reduces digestive inflammation, the root cause of all diseases is inflammation.

A healthy diet and hydrogen rich water will produce significantly less inflammation than an unhealthy diet and drinking bottle water and tap water along with sodas and sports drinks, these will promote inflammation.
Fasting Improves Immune regulation

Fasting Improve Genetic Repair Mechanisms, research has shown that cells have a greater lifespan during times of food scarcity and famine. Intermittent fasting enhances cellular rejuvenation by acting on certain repair mechanisms.

Fasting Improves Insulin Sensitivity, fasting has been shown to reduce insulin secretion and improve cellular insulin sensitivity. This results in the body using insulin better, so that less insulin is needed when eating. By reducing the overall demand for insulin, you reduce inflammation in the body and improve HGH levels.

Intermittent fasting and Chronic diseases, many individuals with autoimmune disease such as systemic lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, and Crohn’s disease have seen a tremendous improvement in symptoms with the incorporation of intermittent fasting. This process reduces the hyperinflammatory process these individuals undergo and allows for more normalized immune function. Cancer cells are known to have anywhere from 10 to 70 times more insulin receptors than normal cells and depend upon anaerobic metabolism of sugar for fuel. Intermittent fasting starves cancer cells and leaves them vulnerable to free radical damage and ultimate destruction.

How do we do our intermittent fasting, our last meal is around 6:00 pm we will not eat another meal until around 11:00 am the next morning, we work out on an empty stomach, hydration is very important when you are Intermittent fasting, in the evening 1 hour after we eat at 6:00 pm we have 16 to 20 oz of hydrogen rich water, and another 12 oz around 9:00 pm, hydrogen rich water is the key to why we can work out on an empty stomach, the first thing we do when we wake up is have a big class of hydrogen rich water, 5 min later we will have another class of water, we leave for the gym around 8:30 am, just before we leave we have another large class of hydrogen rich water, we have drank around a half gallon by 9:00 am, the am is the most important time the organs in the body needs the right type of water, I am not talking about bottle water, tap water, those so called alkaline waters to buy at health food stores those are all contaminated with toxic chemicals, it has to be water that has a concentration of hydrogen( a very powerful antioxidant), while we workout we are also hydrating ourselves, go to to see the benefits of hydrogen rich water.
